We are heading to Inks Lake SP by San Antonio. We have no idea how it's going to be or what to expect. This time, we are taking everything for the water. Last time I got so scared, I do not like deep water, and hate to see my kids some where I can not be useful. Also, I felt sorry for Matt as he did not get in the water (because of the depth). So this time, I'm taking the noodles in case they want to be free to swim by themselves. I really hope we like it, so we can say this is a place to come back to. So, stay tuned.. I will post something about our trip.

Do you mean Inks Lake in Burnet, Texas? We were there a few months ago. It's a great place for feeding the deer, boating and camping. Here's the link to our trip: http://sluglines.blogspot.com/2008/05/longhorn-caverns.html
While there, maybe you can see Longhorn Caverns.
My daughter is an avid swimmer, but we still make her bring noodles in the deep. We teach our children to respect the water.
Sure, we can meet up somewhere sometime. Not sure which SP to choose next. We may just make it a day trip until I can dig my bigger tent out of garage and put it together. I'm thinking something nearby within a 2-3 hour drive. For an overnight, I'd like to redo Guadalupe state park where my family had an eeerie experience!

Guadalupe is Awesome! We will be back out to the Austin side of the state before too long. Inks lake was a great deal of Fun. I looked at your Slice of Texas page.. awesome! Very nice collection. Bianca has been working on hers for a while now too.
I think our next trip is to Village Creek, it's close and looks nice. We are really loving the new pup, and looking for other places to go. We were very comfortable staying in it for 5 days this last trip..
Take Care!
